I knew that my stay at Saudade would be no different. Just a 20-minute drive from Vilanculos Airport, you’re welcomed to this seaside sanctuary, where your holiday begins.

From the moment I stepped into Saudade, I felt an instant sense of peace. The villa is designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings while offering every modern luxury you could wish for. The open-plan living areas spill out onto spacious terraces, perfect for lounging and soaking in the breathtaking ocean views. The considered details are what make it truly magnificent - whether it’s the colourful sunrises that greet you every morning or the beautiful interiors that make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Saudade is fully catered and comfortably sleeps 16 people, making it ideal for families or groups of friends looking for the perfect retreat. Chef Papi goes above and beyond to prepare fresh, wholesome meals, supporting local suppliers wherever possible. The fish, sourced directly from local fishermen, is a highlight. Each meal felt like a celebration of Mozambique's incredible flavors, enjoyed in the perfect beachfront setting.

One highlight of the trip was a day excursion with Wild Africa to the nearby Bazaruto and Benguerra Islands. Snorkeling through the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs, was unforgettable. Afterwards we enjoyed a beachside lunch on the island, and to top it off, we were lucky enough to spot whales breaching in the distance. It was pure magic, the kind of experience that stays with you long after you’ve left.
